DONATE TO HELP THE DOGS OF NEGRIL

We are a 501(c) NonProfit Organization Legally Authorized to Collect Funds in the United States and Jamaica.

While the rescue is located in Negril, the charitable arm of the organization is a United States based registered non-profit (since 2019), and donations are tax-deductible in the U.S. We operate with transparency and accountability and all donations are used for the benefit of the rescue.

We use the Zeffy Donations Platform

You can be assured that your donation and your information is 100% safe. We prefer that all donations be made through the Zeffy platform so that we can easily assemble all donor records in one place, and avoid overwhelming fees from other platforms.

Important!!  Remember that the “tip” is optional. To make a donation with no additional fees, simply click the dropdown menu under “Donation” (auto-filled at 17%) and choose “Other” and fill in zero. This will make sure that you are only charged for your donation amount AND the rescue will receive 100% of your donated dollars.

DOUBLE YOUR DONATION?

Did you know that an estimated $4-$7 billion in matching gift funds goes unclaimed each year?  Nearly 65% of Fortune 500 companies as well as many smaller companies offer a matching gift program to boost their employee contributions to verified non-profits. We know it can be time consuming to do the research, so we are providing this great tool to help you find out if your company will match your donation! Simply search for your company and then submit your application right in the app! If approved, the money will be sent directly to Negril Pup Rescue!

Each dog costs around $13USD or 18.74CAD to feed each week. This amount feeds the one dog and allows us some left over to distribute food in town to starving dogs. Each week, we ask that you donate in the name of one of the dogs on the list – as a commitment to feeding that dog for the week.
$13USD or 18.74CAD for one dog.
$25USD or 36.04CAD for two dogs.
$50USD or 70.98CAD for four dogs.
$100USD or 141.96CAD for eight dogs.
You may also choose one dog and sponsor that dog for a month for $50USD or 70.98CAD.

Our small dog rescue in Negril is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs in need. As a nonprofit organization, we rely entirely on the generosity of donors to provide food, medical care, and shelter for over 80 rescued animals as well as countless others through our street stray outreach program. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward veterinary treatments, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and daily care essentials to ensure these dogs get a second chance at a happy, healthy life. Donations to the general fund may also be used for facility maintenance, staffing assistance, utilities and other essentials. With your support, we can continue our mission of saving lives, showing love to and finding loving homes for our rescued dogs.

To donate to the General Fund:

  1. Choose the level of donation – use one of the suggested amounts or fill in your own.  Any amount helps and is appreciated.
  2. Choose the timing of your gift – one-time or monthly (recurring). Recurring gifts are billed to your payment method of choice each month automatically on the day of your first gift.
  3. Let us know if you would like to honor or memorialize someone special with your gift.

The storm season of 2024 was the strongest and most unexpected in quite some time. Within a 24-hour period, the wind and rain inflicted over $30,000 in damage to our kennels and facilities, forcing us to move dogs into the house until the money could be raised for the repairs. Thankfully, none of the dogs were hurt. But things could have been much different.  At that point, plans began for a sanctuary for the dogs (and humans) during dangerous weather and other challenging conditions. The vision is to utilize a 40-foot shipping container as a makeshift kennel – complete with built in kennels, solar panels, air conditioning, windows, a door, utilities, plumbing and other infrastructure and to fortify the physical property of the rescue for the comfort and convenience of both the dogs and their human servants.

In January 2025, we secured the shipping container, and it was delivered in early February to a newly constructed concrete pad in the front yard of the rescue. Purvez and Jen Captain provided the initial angel gift – the funds for the container – and to honor their generosity, we have offered to name the sanctuary after their beautiful rainbow pup Rufus. Now we ask you to help us raise the remaining funds to create The Rufus Sanctuary.

All donors (or their honorees) will be recognized on signage affixed to the Sanctuary upon completion.

To donate to The Rufus Sanctuary:

  1. Choose the level of donation – use one of the suggested amounts or fill in your own.  Any amount helps and is appreciated.
  2. Let us know if you would like to honor or memorialize someone special with your gift.
  3. Choose whether you would like your name to be displayed on the campaign page.
